Washing Your Wig

Give your wig a gentle refresh every 6–8 wears (or whenever it starts to feel a little dull).

How to cleanse your halo:

  1. Fill a sink or bath with cool water.
  2. Add a small amount of wig-friendly shampoo.
  3. Gently swish your wig for 1-2 minutes — no scrubbing or twisting.
  4. Let it soak for 5–10 minutes to loosen any dirt or oils.
  5. Rinse with cool water until clear.
  6. Apply wig-friendly conditioner (optional) and rinse again.

Always air dry. Squeeze out any excess water. Gently blot with a towel and place your wig on a stand to dry naturally. Never use a hair dryer.

Once your wig is completely dry, gently comb it out again. Always start from the tips and slowly move your way up to the roots. Take your time and be gentle so you do not pull or break the fibres.

Brushing & Styling

  • Use a wide-tooth comb or wig brush.
  • Start brushing from the ends and work your way upward.
  • Never brush your wig while it’s wet.
  • Avoid heat tools unless your wig is labelled heat-resistant.
  • If heat-resistant, keep tools on a low setting (max 150°C).

Storing Your Wig

Keep your halo safe and beautifully shaped between wears.

  • Store on a wig stand or mannequin head.
  • Or place it in its Her Halo Hair Co satin storage bag.
  • Or return it to its original magnetic gift box.
  • Keep away from humidity, heat and direct sunlight.

Top Tips to Keep Your Halo Glowing

  • Avoid sleeping or showering in your wig.
  • Use products sparingly — less is more.
  • Always detangle gently before washing or storing.
